Blame it on the …..

6833_134020483555_683488555_2441873_6134959_s[1]Every time you think Kanye can’t take it any further.  He manages to push the envelope until it is busting at the seams.  Last week I was shocked at the disrespect of a certain congressman from South Carolina, this week I am again appalled at the disrespect showed to new artist Taylor Swift.  For those of you who didn’t see it, I’m sure you’ve heard about it, but I will recap.  Taylor Swift was giving her acceptance speech for best female video when Kanye approached the stage and interrupted her stating how much better Beyonce’s video was.  I’m sure after that display B and her husband Jay-Z have a few words to say to Kanye.

I can’t imagine being a teenager, on stage and accepting an award and being interrupted by a drunk rapper.  Kayne just lost some cool points in my book.

Behind the Music Returns with Lil’ Wayne

10 Sep

Although I’m not the biggest fan of his life choices or his 2008-2009 music catalog, the fact of the matter is Lil’ Wayne is the hottest artist in the industry right now.  This Behind the Music is sure to be interesting, engaging, informative and of course, drama filled.

It airs at 9 pm tonight on VH1 and is sure to play 20 more times before Sunday night falls.  Let us know what you think.

Ellen DeGeneres: New American Idol Judge

10 Sep

Yep, that’s what I said.  A lot of people are confused and scratching their heads but it makes perfect sense to me.  Although Ellen has no experience in the music business she is a big fan of music.  She is sure to add fun, spontaneity, and comedy to the show.  I know very few people that don’t like Ellen DeGeneres, young or old so she is sure to keep Idol in the top ratings spot.

Watch out Ryan, Ellen may be replacing you soon.

Laura Bush Backs Obama’s School Speech

8 Sep

While in Paris, helping to promote global literacy as part of a United Nations meeting, former first lady Laura Bush came forth to support President Barack Obama and his decision to speak to the nation’s school children.  Associated Press quotes her as saying it is “really important for everyone to respect the president of the United States…There’s a place for the president of the United States to talk to school children and encourage school children.”

Mrs. Bush, a former school teacher/librarian stated that parents need to send that message as well.  The former First Lady also stated of parents who decide to keep their children from school because of the President’s speech, “That certainly is the right of parents to choose what they want their children to hear in school,” but again stated “I also think it’s also really important for everyone to respect the president of the United States.”

Thank you, Laura Bush for stepping outside of political partisanship and understanding what is in the interest of our children and our nation.

NASCAR Engineer Works With No Arms

8 Sep

ALeqM5h4njIEF-rviOWr2jUVtv7slsT-cgThis weekend I wondered upon an article by Chris Jenkins, of the Associated Press, about 26-year-old Richie Parker, a NASCAR engineer who was born without arms.  Parker, a graduate of Clemson University,  applied for a ten week internship at Hendricks Motorsports in 2005 and has been working there ever since.  Note : Hendrick Motorsports is a NASCAR powerhouse and home to Jeff Gordon,  Mark Martin, Jimmie Johnson and Dale Earnhardt, Jr.

Richie Parker has proved over and over that he is a self-sufficient hard worker.  Parker is just one of the guys, except he operates everything, down to the mouse and keyboard with his feet.  What a truly amazing and inspiring man.

Jenkins reports:

“My role is very small in the grand scheme of things,” Parker said. “But everybody has to do their job. If everybody does their job, we’ll be successful. That’s how I look at it. That’s how I approach my job every day – just do my part.”

And while he enjoys coming to work at a job where he learns something new every day, he says his journey isn’t complete.

“I’m definitely not where I want to be in life,” Parker said. “I want to continue to do more, drive for more. I don’t think anybody wants to sit around and pat me on the back too much. I’m not there yet”

For Chris Jenkins’ complete article check out Sunday, September 6, 2009, Atlanta Journal Constitution article What he does have is drive( Page C1) or visit:

Rumor Has it that Lil’ Wayne Impregnates 3rd Woman

5 Sep

  dumb ass Lauren london

Ok, I’ve accepted the fact that women are having sex with Lil’ Wayne but really?  Really?  Who is still having unprotected sex with him?

I shook my head at actress, Lauren London, sucked my teeth at singer, Nivea and now I roll my eyes at a stripper from Spearmint Rhino, a Los Angeles strip club.

There are no confirmed reports that the story is true but for a rapper that proclaim to Katie Couric that he was only a role model to two, refering to his two children, has in less than a year’s time doubled his role modeling responsibilities.

Ladies, if you must sleep with Lil’ Wayne, please wrap it up.  The prospect of putting being Lil’ Wayne’s baby mama is probably not worth any STD or STI you will contract.  Not to mention the child support checks are getting smaller and smaller with each edition to the Carter Camp.
